We have opened up our sanctuary space as a mission-driven cafe during the week to be a gift to our community. Pioneers Durham is a new retail and community concept introducing a space to sip, shop, and build friends in the beautiful Bull City. We believe that people matter and how we shop matters. At Pioneers you’ll find curated goods, gifts, and consumables that are not only part of the new growth in Durham, but also keep equity at the center of what we do. When you drink our tea, you’re supporting local entrepreneurs. When you shop Pioneers, you’re investing in tiny, micro-business owners that are dreaming up a new dawn for their families. We're also a community space for events, faith, and co-working.

Pioneers+ Coworking Membership

Pioneers+ is a monthly subscription that offers entry level co-working space and amenities for local artisans, college students, small business owners, and remote workers. We have a sliding scale monthly subscription model that enables members to empower one another. Members pay for their monthly subscription at the amount of their financial ability.

When you join Pioneers+ you are supporting and empowering our artisan community which is predominately composed of working women and people of color. Every vendor represented in our marketplace is able to receive a Pioneers+ membership through the support of other subscribers. The investment of your membership goes directly to supporting our artisans, who use their membership to grow 50+ Durham based small businesses.

Events

We have a calendar full of community events and we also rent out our space for parties, showers, celebrations, and corporate events.
